MOBILE DRIVER SPEED FEEDBACK DISPLAY
WORK ZONE MOBSFD … the work zone SFD sign has the ability to display driver speed feedback , it should always be used in conjunction with a regulatory posted speed limit sign so drivers may correlate their speed to the posted speed for the zone. The sign will flash the speed readout to indicate a violation of the speed limit has occurred. The SFD is configured to suit via the hand held PDA over a blue tooth wireless link. Three parameters are selected for the display, Base speed for when the display will start showing speeds , a threshold speed for when the display will flash to syndicate a violation and finally a maximum cut off speed at which time the display will blank to prevent reckless drivers from trying to see how high they can set the unit.
The MOBSFD includes data logging and solar as standard and is equipped with a lockable compartment for storing cones, and other accessories.
The MOBSFD can be programmed to operate in conjunction with when workers are present via the automated timetable upload feature, the unit has the ability to be set up by one person and once the trailer is firmly secured with outriggers the display may be lifted into position with aid of gas struts and then slid further up into final position and hence not obstructing drivers direct line of sight to workers that may be present. The solar panel simply angles from the rear of the display. The display and solar panel fold flat for transit.
